This phone is nice but dated. initially released in 2006 Q1. The phone has nice features like bluetooth, camera for photos or video's,plays music files and video files, voice dialing, led lights that can be turned on for light or camera flash. with usb cable or bluetooth can tether phone to pc for internet connection. negatives: the bluetooth doesnt support music just handsfree phone calling. the connector has spring loaded pins that can give too much force causing faulty connection a few times. when in the pocket some buttons can get pushed and if phone is set will make noises. have butt dialed one time so far out of lots of use. Overall I like the phone it was top of the line in 2006 and holds its own today against newer non smart phones. most I have spent on one is $60 including shipping. The phone has support on internet forums and firmware can be found to debrand and unlock the phone making some phones availible for $30 or less a good deal although some tinkering is required to debrand or unlock.Read full review
Bought this phone because I needed a new sturdy phone. This phone wound up being a very good purchase. I like that it's light and not bulky. The camera is also surprisingly good for just 2MP. The backlight/flash of the camera is a very nice feature. Always good when your phone can also be your flashlight. Talking on the phone is great. I can hear the whoever is calling me even if I have a low signal. Texting is also great. The keyboard isn't uncomfortable and none of the buttons are a struggle to type. I don't use internet so I can't comment on that. The bluetooth works great. Transferring files took the proper amount of time. It's mp3 player is also great. Easy to create a playlist, access your songs, etc. Even though I use headphones, the speaker on the phone is great. The battery life is the only problem I fine. Last about a day or so when fully charged.Read full review
If you want a nice looking phone, one that will make your friends say "wow, that's a cute little phone" then get this phone. The phone is really good. It has many great features like a camera look alike in the back side of the phone. It is a walkman mp3 player that shows you album art and you can change the sound type from jazz, rock, pop, disco etc. It comes with am/fm radio with the technology (when available) that lets you see who is in singing that song and the name of the song. unfortunately, this phone is not perfect. I have problems using the online features like the one that lets you record a piece of a song so you can send that recording over the internet and receive the name of the artist and name of the song that was just playing. Also network internet connection is a problem too and something that is very common with the Sony Ericsson phone is the great number of drop calls and the signal is not always perfect but that might be a carrier issue. Overall, this is a great phone but it needs minor adjustments.Read full review
I've had friends buy their PDAs, Blackberries, and iPhones. Most have complaints and end up buying something else soon after. I've had my 810i for about a year now and still love it. The 2mp camera takes pics that when downloaded to my comp are approx. 17in x 11in at 72dpi - when viewed at 300dpi the pics are approx 6in x 4in. I don't use it to surf the internet so can't comment on that capability but haven't been too impressed with any phone for that feature. This phone, however does have an easy to use MP3 player which can play through the speaker (quite impressive for size) and FM radio when headphones are plugged in (used for antenna). It does have predictive texting and the buttons are easy to hit. It holds up to a 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo which I purchased and... I have about 50 songs and 50 pics on my phone and still have 1.6GB open! With a silicone case, I've dropped my phone several times - one time down a flight of BRICK STEPS. Phone still works like a champ. Everything does what it's supposed to when it's supposed to. Beat that Blackberry! Look I don't want to bore you, if you want to know more, look up info elsewhere. This phone is great which is why AT&T probably stopped selling it. If you buy from OVERSEAS Expect Cheap feces! Buy American and you'll get American charger and probably better phone!!!Read full review
The Sony Ericsson W810i is a beautiful phone. I am a fan of the color orange and this beauty certainly makes orange and black look good. I have been using this phone for the past two years and it works almost flawlessly. It is very practical, easy to use, great speaker phone, simple to text on with great buttons. The themes on this phone give it a lot of style. The camera is great, still looks good to this day and It still has a decent range of features. I just love the size and appearance of this phone, it is very compact and cute and yet it has really bad ass orange backlighting on the keys; looks epic at night. However, this phone is not without its flaws. The first con I experienced is very low earpiece volume. The volume is rather low while talking on the phone and I experienced this one three different phones so I'm pretty sure this is rather common. The second problem is that although the themes are really bad ass looking and stylish, they are difficult to see outside when the sun is bright. Texting can be really difficult in that sort of environment and you have to put the phone right in front of your face to see clearly. Other than those two gripes this phone is a beauty with a lot of style and practicality.Read full review
