Not too good to be true.
This product worked better than I anticipated. My lashes turned black from root to tip. I used it on the eyebrows with very good results. They turned black and look darker than my eyelashes. The eyelashes are darker but not thicker which is the result of mascara. I wanted to look better without mascara since I don't wear it every day and was pleased with the results. The kit comes with a straight stick to apply the gels which was very messy. I gave up on that and found a small floss brush to try. That was much better but still not the results I was hoping for. I cleaned off an old mascara brush and then used that to apply the gels. So much easier to apply the gels from root to tip without the globbing and dripping that happened with the stick. It's not necessary to use all the gels with the first application so I closed the package up well and plan to try again when this application wears off. The cost is about the same as mascara so very affordable to try. I am nearly 2 weeks into my 28 days and can't see any fading yet. I was worried that wearing mascara would affect the coloring but I cannot see that it has done that.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

One application is not worth $8 + This eyelash dye does very little to darken the eyelashes. I've used it several times over the years and have always been disappointed with the results. Don't get it in your eyes!
This stuff really works. I used a mascara brush instead of the tool that it came with. I have very blond eyelashes and this tinted them very well. I don't think I got to let it sit on my lashes for an entire minute because I got it in my eye accidentally and it smelled like hair dye and it burned so when I close my eyes it got everywhere and I look like I have a black eye now... so be very careful when you use it, but the product does dye your eyelashes!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Long Lasting
I have been using this product for years. it is fabuous! Be slow and patient when applying. Use vaseline on your eye lids and under your eyes so that your skin in those areas does not get dyed!!!
