I used this phone 10 years ago, and it worked well, had the best clarity, and now, afeter having trouble with my other "modern" T-mobile phone, I thought I'd revert back to the days of better clarity. The only down side is that there is no SIM card, so you have to go to the store and have them activate the phone, since this is a phone developed between technologies (from what I have come to understand). Needless to say, I haven't had that done yet, but I do definitely recall the clarity and that's the only reason I have chosen this phone. All the old Nokias have better clarity than the newer ones, and don't give off the muffled sound.
This is one of the first phone I ever owned but mine was with Cingular it is pretty much a basic wireless phone not much to it but it is a good tough phone, and is reliable, and has a long life to the battery & great signal. If all you want is the basic cell phone than this is the one for you. This phone is not a compact phone so if that is what you want don't get but. I give this phone a 5 out 5 for reliability & being tough.
I liked this phone. Very user friendly. Great for a basic phone or a starter phone. I don't need all the fancy new features some of the new phones have. This is just pefrect
My husband and myself both owned a phone like this. Mine finally wore out and I went to a Nokia 6085, which is no where near the phone as the old one. But I ordered this bar phone with understanding it was compatible to Cingular, only to find out it is not. So it is no use to me.It is obsolete.
The phone is an analog phone that really doesn't work on today's networks. Be sure to check with your cell provider before ordering any phone. The phone was advertised as "Cingular compatible" and it isn't anymore. Vendor exchanged to phone for a GSM compatible phone.
