I keep one for each caliber gun I have so depending on which one I carry I just throw one of these with my ammo in it into my backpack. My old pouch had velcro which annoyed me. You'd alert everything in the woods if you had to open it. These have the elastic and buckle which is much better. I plan on purchasing a few more for spares incase I get the urge to buy a new gun of a different caliber. Definitely worth the money.

Before I had this ammo pouch, I carried my spare rounds in a plastic ammo box. The problem? With each step, my pack sounded like I was rattling for a buck. The word "stalk" referred to the piece of grass in my mouth that I sucked on as consolation for the lack of game. This product is well thought out. There IS velcro - hooks but no loops - on the snap-down straps on the back so that the pouch is less likely to slide around on a fabric belt. However, the case itself is opened with a squeeze on the plastic buckle, so there is no rrrripping sound when you access your ammo. Strong fabric promises to wear well.

Won't probably use it until this Fall but I think it will work just find to fit on my belt and carry extra ammo.
