1970s Style
The Lincoln Mark V projects an aura of confidence and success mixed with unmistakable 1970s vibes. Its imposing front grille is iconic. The hood goes on forever. Its profile is muscular yet elegant.

This Mark V was purchased initially by an older gentleman who wanted one of the last of these coupes. Yet he found it too big and rarely drove it. He and its two subsequent owners were meticulous about its needs. The Lincoln is remarkably well preserved, having spent most of its pampered life in storage.
Largest Coupe
The Continental Mark V arrived for the 1977 model year as the largest two-door coupe ever offered by the Ford Motor Company. Traditional Mark styling cues included functional front fender vents, oval opera windows, and a faux spare tire bulge in the trunk lid. Lincoln added standard four-wheel disc brakes, a Cartier-branded clock - opens in new window or tab., automatic climate control, and power-operated windows, front seat, and radio antenna - opens in new window or tab. for 1979, the Mark V’s final year.

This car’s unique exterior color denotes it as a Turquoise Edition. The limited production model was offered only in 1979. The Turquoise Edition included matching leather upholstery, partial vinyl roof covering, and other desirable upgrades. The car’s framed Marti Report - opens in new window or tab. details its options and defines it as a one-of-one. No other 1979 Lincoln Mark V was equipped just like this one.
Driven to Shows
The Lincoln’s seller was its third owner. He added about 8,000 miles to the car over eight years, driving it only to car shows and events. He addressed all maintenance items as needed. The seller also made some upgrades, including:
- Diamond Back Classic radial whitewalls
- Remote key fob to operate the door locks

Photos and a video in the eBay listing made it obvious this car has seen exceptional care. The original paint shines like new. All badging and chrome trim are in place and in excellent condition. It indeed looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.
The matching interior is just as well preserved. The seats appear little used. All power accessories and options are said to function, except the clock. Maybe that’s OK in a car that looks like it just rolled in from a bygone era.
