eBay Motors is proud to offer an auction of four highly customized vehicles owned by NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr. - opens in new window or tab.—and one from the collection of his sister Kelley Earnhardt Miller, co-owner of the legendary JR Motorsports - opens in new window or tab.. The vehicles give an insight into the Earnhardts’ varied personal automotive tastes. Imagine how thrilling it would be to make one of these cars your own daily driver. The auction runs through July 27.
1973 Chevy Camaro

This custom-built one-of-a-kind 1973 Camaro - opens in new window or tab. was built for Dale Earnhardt Jr. by Detroit Speed, Inc., based in Mooresville, N.C. The vehicle on auction was the result of Earnhardt’s quest for a functional second-generation Camaro similar to the famed American V8 coupes—like the Camaro, Mustang, Barracuda, and Challenger—that raced in the Trans Am Racing Series in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
This example was stripped and rebuilt to Earnhardt’s exacting specifications, using GM’s small-block LS2 engine with a six-speed transmission. The aggressive stance comes courtesy of Detroit Speed mini-tubs and its Quadra-Link suspension. Final touches include a stock car fuel cell and roll cage. Earnhardt, who has been the only owner of the car, has only clocked 2,174 miles on the Camaro.
2002 Chevy Camaro

This 2002 Camaro Z28 - opens in new window or tab. was one of only a few dozen models customized to honor pro drag racer Dick Harrell—with the work conducted by GMMG, Inc., the high-performance builder based in Marietta, Ga. in concert with Berger Chevrolet of Grand Rapids, Mich. The Z28, which has a wide body kit with carbon fiber hood, was refitted with a new factory GM LS7 engine in 2014. Other additions at that time included new cam and springs, comp cam rocker trunnions, Ferrara titanium retainers and locks, Fast LSX intake, Nick Williams 102-mm throttle body, and Kooks headers. The result from the 2014 work was to transform the strong platform into a 670-horsepower beast. For kicks (and to preserve history), the crated original engine remains part of the package.
2010 Chevy Camaro

This 600-horsepower Camaro SS - opens in new window or tab. belonged to Kelley Earnhardt Miller—daughter of Dale Sr. and brother of Dale Jr. (Her father taught her to drive, and she competitively raced throughout her youth.) Kelley’s Camaro, one of 11 custom models outfitted by Charlotte-based Hendrick Performance Group, features a Magnusson Supercharger, long-tube stainless headers, stainless exhaust system, and custom engine controls. The suspension has a coilover spring and shock package and sway bars. The custom exterior work is highlighted by the car’s distinctive nose and tail.
1994 Jeep Cherokee

This sporty 1994 Jeep was Earnhardt’s personal off-road 4x4 project - opens in new window or tab.. It’s a beauty (and street legal). Standout features include Sparco racing seats with five-point harnesses, complete roll cage, headers and side pipes, Beadlock alloy wheels fitted with Swamper SSR tires, and a mounted spare.
Street-Legal Electric Golf Cart

The special Dale Earnhardt, Jr. auction on eBay is made complete with his Hummer-inspired custom electric golf cart - opens in new window or tab.. It was built on a 168-inch aluminum super stretch chassis, based on the DS model from Club Car, the world’s largest maker of small-wheel zero-emissions vehicles. The Hummer H1 front end makes the low-speed vehicle a delightful ride. At the same time, it’s practical—by virtue of a custom-built top frame, storage cover, and spare top, as well as tilt-steering and working lights and radio.
