The Chevrolet Suburban nameplate was around for decades by the time the 1975 model recently offered on eBay was produced. That's when new buyers began demanding a more family-friendly Suburban. They wanted features like air conditioning, power accessories, and well-equipped, upscale cabins.

The 1975 Chevrolet Suburban featured on eBay is likely one of the better-preserved examples from the era.
The seller says that it stayed with the original owner until 2016. Something of a time capsule, the Suburban still wears its original paint and upholstery.
It’s an unrestored model that looks much like it did when it rolled off the assembly line in 1975.
The Wonderful Scottsdale Trim Package
The original owner was looking for maximum capability, choosing a K20 3/4-ton model Suburban with four-wheel-drive and automatic hubs. But they were also going for the utmost in comfort and style. So they opted for the Scottsdale trim package.
Stepping up to the Scottsdale added amenities:
- A distinctive plaid patterned upholstery
- Wood trim on the dash
- A dome light switched in the doors
- Cigar lighter
- Additional insulation
- Chrome trim
- A prominent body side molding
Added comfort features include a tinted windshield and AM radio, the latter of which is said to be not working.
While not luxurious by today’s standards, the Scottsdale trim was a far cry from the work-truck ambiance of base models.
Still Capable of Hard Work
Power comes from a 350-cubic-inch V-8 paired with a three-speed Turbo 400 automatic transmission. To maximize this truck’s ability to work, the original owner also opted for features with maximum utility:
- A heavy-duty suspension, alternator, and front stabilizer bar
- Upgraded power brakes and steering
- A 40-gallon fuel tank
- Nine-passenger seating
- Tow package
- Factory roof rack
- A conventional drop-down tailgate with a power window
For all its capability, this Suburban led a sheltered life. Apparently, it’s been garaged for most of its life. And it still wears its original Yuba Gold Paint and very ‘70s brown plaid seat upholstery. There are no rips or tears—and no cracks in the matching brown dash. The original full factory instrumentation still works.
Low Miles and No Rust
Best of all, this Suburban shows just 90,900 original miles on the odometer. Extensive documentation and service records back up the claim. And extensive photos show that the Suburban is just as clean and rust-free underneath and in the engine compartment.
