Does the mind-bending power of today’s off-the-shelf high-performance UTVs satisfy your need for speed? If not, consider how the customized fire-breathing 2022 Can-Am Maverick X3 XRS Turbo recently listed for sale on eBay yields previously unimaginable power in a side-by-side.

This UTV is ready to blast from Ensenada to La Paz in the Baja 1000.
The chassis of the 2022 Can-Am Maverick X3 XRS Turbo RR with Smart-Shox is built with several trophy-style components. The folks from Adrenaline Cycles turned the Maverick into a Raptor-like one-of-a-kind custom off-road racer.
Fastest Turbocharged UTV Ever
In stock trim, the 2022 Can-Am Maverick X3 XRS Turbo RR produces a gob-smacking 200 horsepower that practically wheelies out from under you. Can-Am pumped up the power of the 2021 model, finding five more ponies from the 195-horsepower platform. That was enough to claim the title of the fastest turbocharged UTV on the market.

However, Can-Am’s crown was short-lived as the 2022 Polaris RZR Pro R came on the scene a few months later, claiming an absurd 225 horsepower. While it no longer owns the market for max power, the Maverick X3 XRS Turbo RR remains a premium player with astounding zero-to-30 mph performance.
Outrageous Performance From the Showroom Floor

Fortunately, the potent power is supported by a worthy chassis. It starts with a frame reinforced with thicker steel for increased durability compared to the previous model year.
The Smart-Shox version is more than a clever name. The tech stack features sensors that monitor wheel speed, throttle position, and steering angle, sending calculations to the shocks for split-second reactions and adjustments. Electronic fuel injection with intelligent throttle control (iTSC) delivers silky-smooth acceleration—a critical feature for the speedy UTV.
Sport Performance Highlights
The Can-Am Maverick X3 XRS Turbo’s 2022 updates include:

- 30 percent thicker frame tubing and a roll cage with increased torsional rigidity
- A new pDrive clutch with sealed steel rollers for smoother engagement and quicker shifting
- 850-watt stator to support expanded electrical needs
- CVT belt-monitoring system
Can-Am spared little expense on power but made some compromises on comfort and accessories. That’s where Adrenaline Cycles stepped up with custom bodywork and graphics.

- Suspension upgrades including an Eibach Stage 3 spring kit, CT SmartShox trailing arms, Maverick X3 72-inch race tie rods, and boxed upper A-arms.
- A Bombproof gusset kit bolstering the chassis for Baja-level abuse.
- Night-piercing Baja Designs XL80 LED lights for after-hours fun.
- Complete body protection, including roof, windshield, rear window, and upgraded seats with four-point harnesses.
- A Bluetooth audio system lets you rock out on your way to La Paz.
There are far too many aftermarket goodies to list here. Adrenaline Cycles says expenses on parts, accessories, and labor reached $60,000. That’s $10,000 below the Buy-It-Now price for this outrageous UTV.
