Ford equipped the vehicle with a 7.3-liter turbodiesel V-8 engine, legendary for its power and reliability. It’s paired with an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. That combo allows this camper to go just about anywhere—on-road or off. At 148,000 original miles, this rig is barely broken in.
A Sportsmobile Platform
The seller explains:
We’ve had the camper for about three years. We use it to pull a trailer with a couple of ATVs or my boat. We’ve been everywhere with it.

But the seller was not content with the already impressive capabilities of the stock version. So he modified this one by adding these off-roading accessories:

Outside, the owner treated the van to rugged custom-made roof racks over the cab and rear area. The roof is designed to serve as an observation deck with a side ladder for access.
Mounting racks in the back allow for secure storage of extra fuel tanks to make sure you have plenty of fuel for venturing deep into the woods. Other mods include a total of six Hella auxiliary driving lights mounted on the grille and roof, along with six additional LED marker lights.
The builders painted the camper in gloss gray and added custom graphics. The subdued color scheme, which contrasts with the flat black trim and wheels, presents an imposing look.
Comfort and Utility
The interior is functional and well-equipped. Composite floors make for easy cleaning. A wide center section allows your crew to store a motorcycle or other bulky gear. Multiple power outlets and overhead lighting are handy for work or play.
Creature comforts include a stove, microwave, smart LED TV, and a rear bed. In addition, there are multiple latching storage closets and compartments to keep gear secure on the road. The front passenger compartment features high-back cloth bucket seats for the driver and passenger, along with factory air conditioning, full instrumentation, and an aftermarket audio system.
This Ford converted van is ready for its next adventure. And at $51,900, it’s a lot of vehicle and capability for the money.
