I purchased this Iomega Zip 250 USB Powered Drive to replace an older Iomega 100 Parallel Drive compatible with Windows 95 and 98. I have several Iomega 100 mb disks with older photos and documents saved on them and my computer does not have a parallel port. The Zip 250 is plug and play using a USB connection and works great with both Windows 7 and Windows 10. No software was necessary as I just plugged the USB cable into my computer USB port and the computer recognized the drive.

After spending two weeks, and $175.00 on a computer service, it was finally determined that the USB cable that was provided with the Zip drive was defective. I got a new cable, and the Zip drive finally started working. After a very time consuming and costly delay, I'm finally able to access my Zip files.

The device worked very well for the age of the product. Successfully read and transferred files from 15+ Zip disks.
