The printer was very affordable and it is extremely efficient for your money. The one thing I didn't know was the additional purchase for the double sided printing adapter. It is inexpensive also but I naturally assumed everything I needed was in the box. For some strange reason my printer won't allow me to print unless every ink cartridge is active. That is very inconvenient because if my red (magenta) is low, I still cannot print in all black. Oh and since I am on a private connection at work I also cannot use the wireless settings to print.
I like the printer. It attached to the network very nicely even though I am running both windows 7 and XP on my computers. Had to download s/w but no big deal. Color and print quality are very good however, ink usage seems rather high. My main problem was not with the printer but the advertisement. It said it did duplex printing which is the reason I bought it. It didn't say I needed an additional piece of hardware. It took over a month to find the duplex unit. That's the only down side I can note.
I bought this printer because I've had other Epson products in the past. I used to have a printer that had direct CD/DVD printing capability and the quality was just great. The ink was easy to find here on ebay so that was a major plus. When I saw this printer that does it all, well it had me at hello! I know that there were newer models, but they seemed to all do the same. The ink is also easy to find and not to mention the refill systems are awesome with this model (and others). The quality is still the best among other printers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
Had mine since new, about a decade ago. Still runs like a champ. Bluetooth adapter broke easy. Duplexer is nice. ADF helped a lot when printing papers for court as you need more than one copy. Quick draft saves ink. Beautiful photos. Nice separate small photo tray. Rarely gives me issues but no printer or machine is perfect. For a non professional photo printer, aka not top of the line with 10 inks, you couldn't ask for more. Last driver update was in 2011 and it's 2018 and still going strong. Down side on wireless is that it is older and not secure encryption, but Ethernet and USB work securely. Fax was helpful also (when I had a home phone). Scanner works grate and can be detailed for photos.

What a great All-In-One printer! Not sure that the Wi-Fi is a "must have" feature, but at the price you can get one at Office Depot ($199) that you can pick up locally beats any price, even for a used or refurbished one on eBay. The ink is expensive but wait until you see the photo quality, then you will see why. I will be adding the duplex (automatic 2 sided) option for only $28.00 at Buy.com. The CD/DVD printing is perfect and you don't need a special carrier tray like all the others. It's fast and does everything the reviews say. The only minor negative is found is that it is not at all quiet when doing scans or fax
