Great camera, image quality and video quality is very good for the limited available features. By limited, I mean simple and intuitive which is what you want when you are trying to set up and record a band or live event. The audio is fantastic, and the manual level control is what sold me. Another great feature is a line in input so you can use external mics, mixers or a line feed from a sound board. Handles very loud SPLs with articulation. The video function eats batteries fast, use a plug in adapter if you are doing longer sessions with it. I recommend getting the ZOOM lens hood and lens cap for the Q2n, those should come with imo. Bravo, great unit.

This small and simple camera is tiny and simple to operate. It features amazing CD quality sound recording in stereo with built in mikes. Also has a manual volume mode to capture quite and loud passages just as you hear it. Hard to find a video unit these days without "auto level control" only. Records on a chip, (not provided" that can be inserted in a chip reader on your computer, then easily downloaded to the internet, or Facebook. Just what I wanted.

I bought this to record video and sound in my home studio. It out performed my expectations. I used a GoPro first, but did not like the video quality, and the sound was nothing more than pure SH**. The Q2N is absolutely awesome. My only complaint is that you have to use the smart card to download video onto a computer, and they do not offer any kind of editing software.

So I love this camera. I don’t necessarily like the size but if that’s what it takes to have great audio then I’ll accept that. So people say the battery life is terrible and you’ll only get 1.5 hrs at best. I know this takes AA and that’s both a pro and a con. Pro because you don’t have to wait to charge the battery or have multiple laying around. Con because it’s AA. That in the end will cost you more than rechargeable. Now to circumvent the battery life I’ve decided to try the Energizer Lithium. The camera has a setting for Alkaline or NiMH, but not lithium. I selected NiMH because that’s a better battery anyways and so far I recorded 1hr with the screen always on and the battery level never changed. At the very worst, it seems I may get at the minimum, double the recording time if not more. Turn the screen off and yeah you’ll get more for sure. I’m also trying Energizer rechargeable AA but have yet to test those out. It can be powered through micro usb only and not use batteries at all as well. The quality is standard 1080p like all other action cams. It maxes out at 30fps which is also standard. File sizes are much larger so on the lowest audio setting which is PC compatible for playback, at 1080p 30fps will get you about 5 1/2 hours on a 64gb Micro sd card. Cut that in half for a 32gb and that’s pretty low for general use, so I wouldn’t suggest that ‘small’ of a card. You can get an external windscreen for this in a kit which is very nice yet kinda expensive since some of the accessories you’ll never use. The windscreen is very nice quality an recommended when using outdoors. You’ll have to use the lens hood to keep the hairs off the lens but that’s okay. This is the best audio you’ll get out of an action cam by far. Overall I wish the camera and kit was closer to the $129 range or so for both but regular price is usually around $200. Keep an eye our for sales. Even Sweetwater does financing for 48 months on this with the kit and will run you around $5-$6 a month for the interest free payment. That’s a cup of coffee. Do I recommend this for action use, no. For general use, yes. It’d be hard for me to see someone attaching this to a motorcycle or whatever because of the size. They won’t have any audio complaints, but this is a dry indoorsy type of camera. Set it, record and that’s it. No waterproof housing. The file type is compatible with iOS devices on the lowest audio quality bitrate. Any higher I have not confirmed. It sounds awesome at that anyways. You can use this as a digital recorder only and turn the camera off which is a very nice feature. The 64gb will get you over 90 hours of lowest audio quality. Another nice feature is you can listen live with headphones whether or not your actually recording anything. Don’t have a memory card, that’s fine if you only want to listen live. You can also have a line input for audio from another source to this camera. I don’t suggest using the distortion correction or zoom. It’s digital and all it will do is crop your image and lessen the quality. It’s a digital function, not optical. At the price point would be a no brainer if it did 1080p 60fps or higher but since it doesn’t, it’s completely up to the person on how they intend to use it. Either way, it’s a very nice camera just not so action type. So keep that in mind. Read full review

Very good camera for the price and small size. It also gave a variety of settings to choose from which automatically adjust the gain. For the price, sound quality, and convenience this camera is unbeatable.
