The price online is one third of a box store's and OEM/Polaris. The unit does not shut off completely, allowing water to continue to reverse flow a bit; no big deal because the water stays in the pool. If it lasts a couple of years - the life expectancy of the backup valve -I'll be happy because of the price. Polaris parts are overpriced, in my opinion. The seller was a pleasure to deal with, offered to take it back, but I'm okay with keeping it. Such a joy, seeing it and the Polaris 380 doing their job while I sit and watch!
