My Zircon Studsensor instructions printed on the device said it was supposed to emit a sound. The one I received makes no sounds. When I slowly pass it over the stucco wall and it does flash, it will not repeat the flash upon subsequent passes over the same spot. It is totally unreliable. Now I must return to measuring from the corner every 16" hoping I will hit a stud. Best thing about this stud finder is it's very cheap, so I didn't get taken for much money.

None of the sweeps I made resulted in believable readings. simply all over the place! Mine is an old building and I yield to the notion that the structure of my inner walls may not align with standards, but eventually you should hit something that is always in the same place! I don't. Life kinda goes that way, doesn't it!

For the price, it's definately worth it. I didn't really need a whole lot of detail. I just needed to know where the studs were at to hang up my tv's. It got the job done with no problem. So that's my opinion on it. And it's cheap. So I'm all for low price stuff that actually works.
