Well, be prepared to clean up a serious mess on the waffles unless you already know how much batter to use. That's not the fault of the equipment though. However, the next one I purchased from Kroger, to replace this one, (for about the same price), did have a plastic drip plate with it. Do not time your cooking based on the lights on the equipment. The green "done" light comes on sooner than the food is done (or at least it does on the waffle making). The latch for closing the piece broke off on the second use so it's a little fragile. The panini press works nicely. The toasted sandwich maker, not so much. I thought the cutting grates would pretty much cut or perforate the sandwich but it doesn't. Don't try to put meat on your sandwich with the cheese because there isn't room for it. The bread flattens pretty substantially. Strangely, the panini plates work perfectly for a grilled cheese or turkey grilled cheese. The sandwich plates are needless. Have not tried the omelet plates, but I expect they will work. My conclusion is that if you don't have a Kroger near by for buying one of these types of things, then sure, go ahead and give this one a shot. Just understand that what you are buying isn't expensive and it reflects that. I'm not sure how Kroger was able to offer one so good for the same price. Then again, Kroger's piece only makes waffles. It doesn't have several sets of cooking plates for multiple functioning.Read full review
