Very Good Sharpening
I like the design and the quality of construction. I used the sharpening to re-profile and sharpen a variety of knives ranging from a OKC Afghan 5 inch 1/4 inch blade downward to a very thin Global vegetable knife. It did a great job. The key is to use the course diamond plate until you get a burr on one side before moving to the other side. Use the same number of strokes on each side. The ceramic set is somewhat lame leaving very little real estate for finishing larger blades, and the groves on the larger ceramic rod does not change the grit. I use my other ceramic rods and triangular sharpeners to to sharpen serrated blades and finish knives after use of the fine diamond plate.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This the best sharpener for under $50
This is the best sharpener for home or one that can be thrown in a SHTF backpack and you get it for under $50 . It has diamond plates and ceramic rods for sharpening super steels at home or on the go . All around AWESOME sharpener . So easy to use , even a cave man could do it. Lol I own the Ken onion edition worksharp belt system as well as the compact field sharpener and now this one that I’ll throw in my truck or one of my back packs . I own ALOT of knives so you can never have enough sharpening my Equiptment to all of them hair popping sharp. I highly reccomemd this setup from the beginner to the advanced user .
