Finally a great sharpener
I have been looking for a sharpener for a while. I've tried using stones because it seemed like a less expensive route but I didn't have much luck with my edge. Then I bought some angle guides for the stones and still struggled (and it was very time consuming). I even watch a bunch of videos to try to get better at it and get it right but I just never seemed to be able to get a great edge. I ended up watching some videos that were comparing sharpeners and this product was ranked as the best so I took a chance buying it. It's super easy to use but you do have to change the belts (but it only takes a few seconds to change them) to a finer grit and it only takes a few minutes to sharpen a knife. Highly recommend this product and wish that I had just purchased this right out of the gate instead of messing around with the stones.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Did not work for me
Sadly for me I do not know if the knives or what but with my favories (Forshiner Switzerland it just cannot seem to touch them/ All other brands fine. I take them to a professional sharpener whan needed hoped this would work. Probably fine for others. Best knife sharpener
As a butcher in my former life and a wood worker now I have owned MANY knife sharpener and sharpener systems. This is by far the best ive ever tried. Straight out of the box I reset the bevels on two Dexter high carbon 5 inch boning knives that were made in the 1920's. They both came away shaving sharp in about 10 mins. I next used it to sharpen a 20 inch ribeye blade with the same scary results. I have used it on my lathe tools, scissors for quilting, numerous pocket knives and even restored a couple of 100 year old straight razors.
