This is an excellent resource for new or experienced cooks. Has recipes but the important part is its encyclopedic discriptions and discussions of all types of food, food storage, food prep, etc. A bit dated (sorry, Mr. Obama, no arugula) but most of the info still holds true. Never heard of this book until I moved in with my husband. It was a staple in his household and now in mine! Now I collect them for the kids and grandkids. Be patient and you'll find a good quality copy of the latest (1971) print for under $10 (not counting shipping costs).
The Makita case came in excellent condition. It fits my drill/driver set perfectly. I bought a couple of bare tools and needed a case for them and this was the best solution.
