Beautiful upgrade to a standard part
Used this to replace the guide in my Ballester Molina, which is compatible with 1911 government models for this piece - works great. It’s strong but smooth as silk when cycling (bull nose end keeps the spring smooth and the scallop on the back gives extra barrel link clearance). Highly recommended for any standard 1911 or Ballester Molina

Just what I needed.
Replacing full length guide rod was the best solution to easily reassemble my Kimber full size 1911 after field stripping for cleaning. The open ended plug hurt my old arthritic hands. The first time that I reassembled the firearm the spring and plug went back in so easy.

Well made guide rod
Recently bought a badly abused 1911A1 that was in rough shape. It had the useless full length guide rod, and I wanted the original recoil spring system. Enter the Wilson Combat model 575S stainless guide rod. A beautifully machined part void of any flaws. Combined with a Wilson Combat Factory plus recoil spring plug & new spring, the weapon is operating perfectly! The entire guide rod is, as stated above, perfectly made and polished. The barrel lug relief is exactly centered. It looks so good, its almost a shame its hidden inside the slide!Recently bought a badly abused 1911A1 that was in rough shape. It's Wilson, so it's right.
It's Wilson, what more needs be said. I can't stand full length 1911 guide rods like my Springfield Operator came with. This was one of the components I used to change it back to the way John Browning and God intended it to be. Easier disassembly and just as accurate and reliable.
