Only tried it once so far. Me to recipe with eggs & zucchini. Came out great. Down side is you cannot remove grills for cleaning. Need to brush on oil, which is ok. Size is what it is. Pretty light.

But it failed during first use. Only one side of both cooking units worked, the unit overheated and burned one side while the other didn't get brown. Of course that side stuck to the grid so the waffles split. Each attempt added to the comedy. Had a good laugh, packed it up and returned it. The WAF-F20 looks good, feels solid, rotates and opens and closes easily. The provided measuring cup fills the maker with the correct amount of batter. Conceptually it's an excellent design. The power cord is the only flaw. It's too short. About four feet too short. I'm giving this maker two stars because I still, even with its failure, even after having to clean up after it, really want to like it. I will order and try another in the hope that my luck improves. Update!!! I just finished eating the first waffle made with the replacement waffle maker I received yesterday. I just made a simple waffle batter without egg (I'm out), a little vanilla and sweetener. Unit beep just when and like it should, waffles were perfect! I like it, just like I wanted to the first time around. I'm raising my rating to five stars from two. The maker arrived in "as new" condition, performed flawlessly, was "non-stick" (but still has too short a cord) producing intact, perfectly browned, full sized waffles. One note: if using eggless batter you might need to add an ounce or so of extra batter to the iron. Without egg whites to loft the waffle it doesn't rise as much or spread to cover the entire iron. Buy with confidence and ENoy!! Update2: On NO! The first, brief, two waffle test of the replacement iron went well. Outing #2 was a disaster. Basically, the same issues I'd had with the first iron came back on the second one and I wound up with inedible waffles and a disappointed, hungry family. The batter turned into really good pancakes and all was fine, except I'm sending the iron back and , this time, I'm going with a refund and calling it quits. Rating no goes to 1 star.Read full review

This double waffle iron is the follow-on to the old Waring Pro unit Cuisinart bought Waring, and this looks and (supposedly) functions just like the old Waring. Unfortunately, I find two differences, one I can adapt to but the other is significant. The minor issue is that the rheostat for controlling brownness (is that a word?) is not the same as the Waring. The user manual says setting 4 is recommended, but setting 4 on the Cuisinart produces dark brown cinders, where on the Waring they were light brown and fluffy. By setting just above 3, I can get what we like, so can handle this difference Now the defect: One side cooks much darker than the other. Obviously, the heating units are not balanced. I doubt this will ever get any better, so for all practical purposes, I have a single unit, not a double. Having read the user reviews about terrible Cuisinart service, I guess I'll just live with it. These two issues aside, it is a near clone of the Waring, which was the best ever.Read full review

Excellent product for the price. Great waffles. The beeps are inaudible to my Dad and myself. The wife, the daughters can hear it fine. I had a Waring with the same problem. The beep is beyond my hearing range is all. Makes a great waffle. I use their Good Night Waffles and Classic Belgium Waffle recipes. Both excellent.
