When I brought my little hamster home she was a wee thing so we initially bought her the medium size running disk. Well as all little ones do she grew and was soon pretty much doing a jig on the one we brought her home with so I looked around to find an exasaucer that would suit her needs and ours. So after some research and the lack of any other sizes we bought her the 12" flying saucer. She loves it. Would buy it again? Yes, Keeping in mind that She lives in a Critter nation so her cage is 3 feet wide. 2 feet tall and 2 feet deep so plenty of room for it. But if you do your research any wheel smaller than 9" is bad for a Syrian hamsters back and can lead to health issues... Is it a good value: The one I purchased was $18.08 so it was well priced for the size. Is it of good Quality: Its plastic and and a bit wobbly but perfect for a Hamster. I have read several reviews where disks don't really last for larger animals. I'm pretty sure this is due to the weight of the animal and the material the disks are made from (plastic) But I haven't had any issues as hamsters really don't weight much. I honestly wouldn't use a disk for anything larger than a Rat.Read full review

My hamster enjoys it, as well as chewing on it obnoxiously but she does actually use it. She stopped using her Carolina storm wheel a couple weeks ago and i needed some new way to get her to exercise and this did the trick. Although the box wasnt packaged with peanuts or bubble wrap to ensure not cracks or breaks, it was delivered in perfect condition.

I keep both my Syrians in my bedroom, so I was very interested in finding quiet wheels for them. I have tried several, including the Silent Spinner, and all of them were waaay too noisy. The Ware saucer is the quietest one that I've used...I can even hear the pitter patter of their feet while they're running...which I love waking up to in the middle of the night. They also seem to be a more natural running position for the hamsters. I have 12" saucers, which take up a lot of floor space (even though I have 40gallon aquariums), but I remedied that by making platforms for the saucers to sit on, so they don't lose any living area. I definitely recommend this product.

I bought the 12" flying saucer for my hamster, as an 'extra' exercise option...he loves it so much that I'm returning the 12" Silent Spinner that I bought at Petco.
