    Well worth the money

This thing is powerful and the battery lasts a long time. So nice not fighting the two separate gas units I had not to mention it being very quiet. I burned through a large yard including edging and only used 1/3 of the battery power. Downside is it seems a bit too long and not exactly balanced the best.

    Worx 56v weed cutter

I am not certain if I can recommend. For some reason, it charges for only 5 mins. Not sure if it is the battery, charging unit, or if ithe unit will not take the charge properly. I bought it last summer and only recently tried it. I am hoping that the company will help me. I turned the warranty card in very late losing a year off the warranty. It was very expensive and was hoping I could use in some difficult areas of the yard. It's a little heavy for me but I can manage if I can diagnose the problem and have company resolve. Otherwise, this will be a huge waste. Anyone know what could be the problem?

  • Great Trimmer, But Replacement Battery Cost Too High

It's a great trimmer, powerful and effective, well-balanced when the handle is positioned in the right place, and long enough for tall people so that they don't have to bend over at the waist to use it. Line feed works great, unlike some products in this price range. The reason I sent it back though, is that the cost of a replacement battery was around $150, which is one-and-a-half times what I paid for the whole outfit, trimmer, charger, and battery. That makes no sense at all. Since the battery is usually the first thing to fail on these trimmers, I considered that a very important factor. I was able to find another trimmer (not the same brand) for the same price that was brushless, had a bump head, and the cost of a replacement battery was in the $30 range. The trimmer performed actually better because the bump head was dual-string, the brushless motor provided more power and promised more longevity, and with less expensive replacement batteries, it simply made a lot more sense. I hated returning this product because it worked so well and was so comfortable for me to use, but I had to go with the lower cost-of-ownership. I'm not into this planned obsolescense stuff, or this throw-away society mentality. When I invest in a product, I want to be able to keep it going for the long term without having to buy a new one.

  • Money well spent

I always had 40v Trimmers from Black and Decker, but now I don't even want to use my Black and Decker any more. This one is so much more powerful and I get the job done in 1/4 of the time. The battery charges very quickly and I can do half of my yard with one charge. The only thing that bothered me is the edger with the wheels that are on the side for right hander. I am a left hander and it is quiet awkward for me to use it, so I won't. Maybe worx should think at all the left handers when developing a tool???? That is where my Black and Decker comes into play now. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

  • Holding up well

Well made, holding up to a huge amount of weed wacking. Has plenty of power. 56v battery lasts almost an hour of continuous work-I have 2.5 acres and can get through about 1/4 of an acre on a charge with light weeds, less than that with heavy but this has cut through weeds as tall as 2+ feet. Only downside-an extra battery will cost close to 100 bucks! But it is lithium and these are all still pretty expensive. Overall, very happy with this, it is about as lightweight as something this size and power can be and I am going towards it rather than my Ryobi gas-powered. Having both is a real good way to go, es[pecially with a big property.

  • A definite buy...Better than Gas

I couldn't believe this would be better than gas. The pros of this thing is u don't need to prime, mix gas/ oil and deal with the smoke of an exhaust. Limited noise but the power needed to get the job done. The string last surprisingly long as well. I can cover my front and backyard without adding more string to it. I am comparing this too my Troy Bilt and my Craftsman trimmers respectively. I've sold both on OfferUp...lol

  • A high quality, lightweight and powerful string trimmer/edger

The WORX 13 inch 56 Volt Cordless Grass String Trimmer/Edgar is a great piece of equpment that we use at our lake cabin. It is light weight, well balanced and powerful. We've always used gas powered grass string trimmers, but the WORX 56 volt string trimmer is so much easier to operate and gets the job done in less time because we don't have to go through the hassle of gassing up, and getting our old gas trimmers started. The 56 volt lithium-ion battery not only provides powerful energy to the well built motor, it also last long enough to complete the work without having to recharge it. The edger component is also easy to use, taking up less time to get that work done also. I would highly recommend it to anyone that has a large amount of work to get done and doesn't want to mess with a gas powered trimmer or edger.

  • Worx like a charm!

Easy to use just enough power to do all of my edging about 300ft before it dies and that's the first use which was heavy edging. I expect it will be getting 2 uses if I maintain the edge. The wheels are a great help and the auto feeder worx great.

I have a landscaper, but do small jobs around the yard, and this does great, work and as good as a gas powered trimmer.

  • Beast

This thing is a beast! We live on a corner lot, so have a lot of edging. Charged it for 30 minutes right out of the box & then edged and trimmed and still had battery remaining. Much faster than my old battery trimmer/edger. Then the battery fully recharged while I mowed. Deducting 1 star because the balance while trimming is head heavy. Not an issue when edging because of the wheels.
