  • A must have for ESP8266!

This is an absolute must have when it comes to the ESP8266! Typically programming it requires a splitting off power and ground and several other wires along with a USB to TTL programmer. This one device takes care of all of that mess for you! Simply plug in your ESP8266 and plug this into your USB port and you're good. I would highly recommend that anyone working with ESP8266 devices get one of these!

  • USB to Serial + 3.3v power

It does what it's supposed to. It also works fine under Linux out of the box. By adding a resistor and a push button, it can be turned into a programmer for the ESP-01.

  • Works great, better after adding switches

Works great to power and get serial connection to ESP-01/01s modules. I added reset and flash switches to it by hot-gluing tactile switches to the yellow connector, and soldering to the pins on the bottom. Works fantastic as a small/inexpensive programmer that way.

  • Awesome programmer.

Awesome programmer. Been using an Arduino as ISP on a breadboard. Only downside is you have to solder a switch to start programming mode on an esp-01. I can live with that 3 minutes of time to do it. Thanks again

  • Convenient way to program ESP-01 after a small moification

You really need to add a push button to make it work right. I don't know why it wasn't build with one in the first place. Search for the instructable called USB-to-ESP-01-Board-Adapter-Modification.
