All in all, great system.
Rack was pretty good, I did have to clean up some holes because of too much coating but nothing bad. I've had it about 3 months now and there is a substantial amount of rust forming on the hardware and where the box mounts to the rack itself. Changing out to stainless hardware and I'll re coat the racks themselves and still be way under the cost of any other system. P.S. I've dropped the bike directly on the rack several times off road and as a bonus to a fantastic box mount, it makes a hell of a set of crash bars.Rack was pretty good, I did have to clean up some holes because of too much coating but nothing bad. Works good and looks good. Easy install
Fit pretty well on my 2015 klr. If you dont use the turn signal brackets then the whole set up is just a bolt on and can be done in like 30 min. The only thing i did not care for is the bar at the very back that goes next to the license light so i had to mod that to make it fit better,

Almost perfect
Met all my expectations with one exception! The installation instruction omit one step. There should be a step between 9 and 10 that says the installer should put the seat back on. As written, one must back up several steps at the end, install the seat and then complete the installation.

Very nice KLR pannier racks
Ordered these to replace a set of caribou pannier racks that were destroyed in a wreck. The price is great. I’m reusing my pelican 1550 35L cases with these. They came very well packed and not a scratch anywhere. Welds and finish appear very good. All hardware was there and correct. Installed pretty easily. I did have to sand/modify the stock plastic license plate light cover to clear the cross brace for the racks. One minor gripe is the helmet lock bracket on the cross bar. Didn’t use it, and putting it newer the rear tire to get full of mud and water seems like a dumb idea. Another gripe if you will is the quick release bracket for the panniers has a lot of play in it. Using some thin rubber and shimming some things to make the side cases rattle less and wear less as they do. All in all ...
