I've used many of the Diamond type grease pastes and a few of them do very well and hold up somewhat. However, if you're planning on overclocking and want something that will perform for more than a single year or more then I'd highly recommend the Tuniq TX-4 Extreme which has proven itself on my desktop (AMD 8350 OC'd to 4.3 Ghz) and both of my laptops (Intel i5's). Many of the so-called Silver pastes just don't hold up very well anymore as much as they use to. I stopped using them and purposely went to the diamond type for better performance and longer life and it's proven itself to perform better and transfer heat much more rapidly, the problem is they don't quite last as long as I'd like. If you're going to spend the money on a quality build then I'd be willing to put a quality transfer grease/paste on my system to make it work right for as long as possible. To me it only makes sense. I used Tuniq TX4 inside a ultraportable laptop when I upgraded from a dual i7-2620m to a quad i7-3612m processor motherboard. It's quieter with the quad processor than it was with the dual CPU. It's a long process taking this ultra portable laptop apart. You want this done right the first time. Get the best paste!
