I have several dual deck DJ CD units. One deck wasn't reading CDs. They're pretty hard to take apart to clean the laser lens, so I decided to give this a try. Since it wasn't playing, it took several tries to get the cleaner instructions to play. It may have helped that the CD was at least spinning the brush for a few seconds. After that, I was able to run the cleaner a few times. The deck is still a little finicky, but will now play most CDs on the first try. There are still some CDs it won't play at all, that will play in the opposite deck, including one I just burned. Still, a six dollar fix that brought an expensive deck from zero back to 90% is pretty impressive, especially considering that my local repair guy charges a minimum of $70 to work on pro equipment, whether he succeeds or fails. Once a year cleaning with the Trisonic might have prevented the problem altogether. I wouldn't run a cleaner much more than that, for fear it would scratch or cloud the lens.Read full review

Unkown whether it works or not! Used it to clean my Blue Ray DVD player and Auto CD Player with no changes noticed, still does not read disc. Dry cleaned, wet cleaned, and dry cleaned again, using this Trisonic disc cleaner. The red cleaning brush attached to disc started coming apart after first use. Don't think I'll buy this inexpensive Trisonic brand again! I previously owned simular disc cleaners that worked great.

I got this one because of the price and reviews. My old cleaner was around 10 years old and wouldn't work in my pc but did work in the blue-ray player. So I got this. First thing I noticed is that it has only one brush, compared to my old cleaner which has two. The single brush is glued on and appears like it might fall off at any moment. After applying the cleaning fluid the red dye in the brush started running. Very cheap. It did run well in the PC where the other one no longer does. But I can't really tell if it worked or not. Personally I'd save the money and get a name brand that has two brushes. I think most have two brushes because of alignment, one for cd laser, and one for the dvd laser. Either way two brushes clean better than one. Another thing is that the plastic case this cleaner came in was very cheap. It was very thin and broke while I was trying to open it. Over all not worth the money. I kept it but went back to using the old one. The brushes are a little worn but it works. Read full review

I bought this as an inexpensive proactive item to maintain my multiple disc players. While I haven't had any issues with dust collecting on the lenses I figured that an occasional cleaning wouldn't hurt. I can't tell any difference after using this disc, it hasn't harmed my players either. This cleaner is good for peace of mind.

The CD/DVD Player Product performed well in cleaning my installed device in my vehicle and I also have an added component CD/DVD Reader/Writer on my desktop and laptop PC's, which I also look forward to using this product for them also whenever they require cleaning, since the system cooling fans can and will pull duct into them requiring them to be cleaned also. I especially like the audio and written instructions that come with the product, that simplify how to use it to clean the CD/DVD reader and player devices!
