Traxxas has some of the toughest RC’s on the planet and everyone knows the gears aren’t the greatest. Most everyone buys aftermarket gears for their rc if they want “tough” reliable gears. Now that Traxxas has upgraded the gear material, I have purchased the 50t spur for my xmaxx and i can say i love it!! I’ve owned most all other companies spurs and pinions and Traxxas gears are just as good if not better and will be easier on the ol’wallet. Try’em out and give’em a good ol beating. I beat mine through the WV mountains as fast as i can go without breaking a sweat, or gear !!!

Running a 21 pinion and 50 tooth spur in an xmaxx. So far been reliable and fast even when using the 6s batteries. The motor was 140ish on a hot day after a few speed runs. Esc was 110'F

I know factory traxxas gears like the ones in the x-maxx 8s aren't the best and are more of a powdered or cintered metal than an actual cut gear but for what I do with my x-maxx they hold up just fine and I'm not exactly easy on it.

Ran in xmaxx 6s with hobbywing max 6 esc stripped in about 10 min, would recommend a machined gear
