As near as I can tell, this model came out in 2009, and GPS was a fairly mature technology by that point, This means that you can operate on voice instructions alone (my preference -- I want my eyes on the road) or do the dash-mount and get a look at the cross streets between here and the next turn. You can set a target time and be aware of whether you're ahead of or behind schedule. It's even possible (with an add-on antenna) (and maybe a subscription) to add in an awareness of current traffic conditions in your path. Just be aware that the screen is less-responsive than a modern cellphone, and some of the other advanced features (such as importing a multi-stop itinerary from your computer) require registration with TomTom, and I was too late for that. But it certainly takes some of the stress off the executive functions of driving in unfamiliar parts of town, and that is worth a lot for me.Read full review

The only thing I was disappointed with is the screen size, I guess I read the size wrong . My old one is larger. But I love the features, and it works great. Thank you
