I bought this CD as a follow up to Tokio Hotel's first CD("Schrei"). Definately more mature than the first. Enjoyed every track. First CD was a younger more angry Tokio Hotel, this is a group coming into their own. More confident, sassy and sexy. Anthems like "Uebers Ende Der Welt" and " "Ich Brech Aus" shout teenage confidence and taking over their world. And ballads like "Spring Nicht" and "An Deiner Seite" are poetickly expressed. The first one talking someone out of suicide and the second being by someone's side when they're needed. The American fan will find the German lyrics stronger than the American (English language)versions. Songs exclusively sung in German like "Reden" are causing fan-girl fantasies all over the world. (Reden means 'To talk', but that isn't what the song is about). I enjoy listening to it over and over again. Something for every mood. Tokio Hotel's "Scream 2007"(America) contains some songs from "Schrei" and many English versions of the "Zimmer 483" CD. But I'd start with "Zimmer 483," for a true Tokio Hotel experience. Some shouting some crying, definately somethings to think about.Read full review
im a HUGE tokio hotel fan and buying this cd was one of my top priorities. the cd was great. it had many of the songs i knew from their scream album and three that i had never heard including reden, wir steirben niemals aus and one more that i cant remember. this cd was so great to listen to. the music and lyrics were incredibly moving and were very fluent even though i dont understand a word in German except for the basics. i would most certainly recommend this cd to any tokio hotel fan out there. excellent choice whether your german or not. :)
Tokio Hotel really spread their wings and moved into being strong young rock stars after the initial early success as young teens. They had grown, literally and figuratively and on this piece of art, they covered some tough themes, drug use, suicide, hopelessness, as well as cheeky double entendre songs about groupies. Strongly recommend you check out the phenomenon of Tokio Hotel.
Even though the German versions are more expensive, I really like the band's sound in their native language. I have even taken to learning German so I can understand the lyrics. The music is great! My favorite tracks are Ubers Ende der Welt, Spring Night, Vergessene Kinder and Reden. Great sound, awesome band! If you like alternative music, you will love this!
This CD is amazing! I'm so glad i bought it. All the songs are absolutely amazing. I would have to say that my favorite songs off of this CD are Ubers Ende Der Welt, Spring Nicht, and Vergessene Kinder. I love this band and I have always thought that the German songs are better than the English ones. I would suggest to anyone that likes this band to get this CD, it is definetly worth it. Again its absolutely amazing.
