Judith Flynn's cousin, Renie, convinces her that something strange is going at a certain house owner by a couple named Dick and Jane Bland. They never leave the house. The cousins find that once a year, a mysterious package arrives at the house. Judith finds a dead body in the trunk of her car while she and Renie are doing surveillance work. The police are pointing fingers at her as being the number one suspect. Judith's family provides a whacky, funny background, especially her cantankerous mother, Gertrude and her religious spouting housekeeper. Judith is trying to help her son Mike and her daughter-in-law, Kristen with their marital problems.
