The title was the only part to imply the problem/solution.The book was tedious to read, painfully so. "The Most Important Year" turns out to be the year she took to write it. The problem is more complicated than the many anecdotes she uses to illustrate. She never once delved into the problems in the many Title I schools, discipline, or parental involvement in under resourced families. Waste of time and money.
