Watched this with english dubbing. Excellent!! The Swedish versions are far more engaging and explanatory than the American version. I wish this could continue. Sorry Steig Larson died. If you have read the books you will be pleased with this Swedish trilogy. Repace and Nyqvist are the characters I imagined when I read the books. Couldn't have done better myself. They could have been a little more explicit as to the dragon tatoo. if you didn't read the books you go away wondering. The dubbing doesn't seem to interfere with the overall performance. Not too off from the lip movements of translation. If you want good entertainment with some serious thought process, just enough sex, some foul language(but not too much) and good cyber sleuthing you will love these. 5 Thumbs up.

Excellent acting, fast-paced after a slow start. But read the book AFTER you watch the movie (I read the book first, and have now read the entire trilogy) or you will be disappointed... waiting for various things to occur. I'd probably write a more glowing (no pun intended!) review if I hadn't red he book first, but if you are not planning to read the book, certainly watch the movie.

This is the second part of the Millennium trilogy by Steig Larrson, (the first called "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo".) The books are outstanding, and the creators of the movies did a great job following the books, they were very true to the original story. Now these movies are filmed in Swedish, but we have the option of subtitles or overdub. Either way, this movie will leave you wanting more, and you will want to finish the last movie "The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest.) The actress who plays Lisbeth Salander is fantastic, and there isn't one actor that doesn't 'bring it'. The American remakes of these movies are in the process of being cast right now, and so far there has been tepid responses from fans to the actors chosen. Chances are the American remakes will sensationalize the story, glorify the violence, make Lisbeth into a sex symbol, and basically wreck the story as it is marketed to predictable American movie consumers. The reputation of the books and original movies will draw people to see it though, and I hope I am wrong with this prediction. The author Steig Larrson died unexpectedly, so the fourth installment of this story was not finished before he passed. There are currently no plans to release the part that was completed. The story really magnifies the violence perpetuated against women in Sweden, but not in a sensationalized or glorified way. These are not happy go lucky movies to watch, they are pretty deep and dramatic. Some scenes border on shocking, but they are done in such a tasteful way that they are believable. You definitely need to see the original movies, and not judge this story by the Americanized versions that will come out soon. Hope you enjoy as much as I do!Read full review

This is the second movie in a three part series of, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series being the first. I suggest purchasing all three. There was two different versions of the first movie made but if you want to stay with all the same cast and I suggest you do. (some differences between the two) Make sure the first one (Girl with The Dragon Tattoo) Stars Nooni Rapace as the lead female actress. The Girl who played with fire will explain much of what you see in the first movie and will help you understand much of the background of the last movie. I give them all a Supernova of Stars
