James White has written a number of stories in an universe called Sector General. It is a station that is an interspecies hospital. The staff handed emergency for any species including a few that are unknown to them. All hospital are notorious for bad food. The galactic gourmet want to change that image. He can makes meals that any species will love. He is even helpful with diagnosing some of the problems. These stories are funny and entertaining. All the books in the series are worth reading. I like reading stories look at the human condition from other perspectives.
Thia is one of my favorite scifi authors of all time , if you like science fiction storys add this book to your collection
