I still have vinyl singles and the Blues Magoos and other musicians of the period who explored new electronic effects (listen to "There's a chance we can make it" or "(we ain't got) Nothin' Yet") rivaled the Electric Prunes, Balloon Farm and Hendrix as staples of that era. Little old ladies listening to AM radio then would report 'drug or drinking songs' to the FCC or stations would ban artists who were too wild. Even the album titles scream psychedelia on this cd and offended someone back then. It was all a "Pipe Dream". I find "Tobacco Road" and "Gotta Get Away" are gems. On Electric Comic Book the little gems "Intermission" and "That's all folks" reflected the Who's "Sell Out" radio show gag. Also their "Gloria" rivals the Shadows Of Knight and even the Doors versions. If your long hair's inside your head now this cd may remind you of patchouli and our old bangs hangin' free.
