I needed a pump and fountain kit because I had built a small wildlife pond in the back of my desert yard. The wild quail, jackrabbits, cactus wrens, doves, ground squirrels, sparrows, and roadrunners all come into my yard in the heat of summer, and depend on me for water. I wanted a small waterfall too. This pump has worked out just fine. I have to hose off the filter now and then, depending on the season, what's going on, like a dust storm. It is pretty easy to do, just unplug it, unscrew the filter, hose it, and screw it back on. I have the pump on a time, sunrise to sunset, that I adjust all year round. My pond is 33 gals. This pump is plenty powerful for my needs. It has different configurations you can do. *It does not come with the waterfall attachment, or hose to run to it.

This is a great. Powerful pump for a 200-300 gallon pond. The filters are easy to clean, does a gteat job of cleaning yoir pond. I usuallu clean a pond before putting in a new pump, bit because of spawning season, I couldn't. And this pimp handled t and cleaned the water in no time. Recommend great care when removing assembled fountain/pump for cleaning.

The large filter really helps clean a dirty pond quickly. We have had such a hard time keeping our ponds clean since we have fish that keep getting bigger. The pumps with the smaller filter sponge just get clogged so quickly so we thought we'd give this a try in are bigger pond and it worked amazingly. Our pond is so much clearer now. And that is with some Koi that are about a foot long. We purchased a second one for our other pond and put it in yesterday and it has already made a massive difference. We could barely see our fish before and now with this pump you can see them pretty clearly. It would be clearer if they could sit still

i like this system. i use it in a 300gal galvanized tank for cattle. we have gold fish [6] that have gotten quite large. the pump that come with this is good for the filter but not for water falls or spouts. maybe a bad pump, but i have to give it a wack now and then for it to work. the impeller gets stuck on a rubber bushing and has to be dislodged. i had another pump that i use for the water spout. i think this filter system does a great job.

I have a small pond, 200 gals and it has been plagued with algae for the past few years. Pool guy told me that there was a lot of particulate settled in the bottom of the pond. I installed the filter and was able to create a current in the bottom of the pond and the filter removes it very well. It's only been a week but the pond is clean and the water just sparkles So I'm pleased with the results so far..
