Christopher Lee plays the famous Count Dracula in this Hammer Film Production. Several gentlemen have their usual once a month night off. At a brothel. They meet a young man and strike up a relationship. He, is seems, is involved with the occult and can provide more excitement than they could ever imagine. They all agree to participate in a ritual that revives Dracula. Then Dracula takes out his "revenge" on the four of them. This film doesn't have a whole lot going for it. The acting, especially by Lee, isn't especially good. The costumes and scene sets are fine, but it doesn't carry the movie. The plot only loosely resembles the storyline as we know it. This film, rated "R" for sexual content/nudity and brief violence, is really only for those Christopher Lee fans.
When Hammer pictures approached Christopher Lee with yet another Dracula movie, he was working and had just got done finishing a couple other projects of a more serious nature. Although there were time restraints to his schedule and the conscious effort to aviod the horror movie type casting, he took the movie like the pro he was, on the stipulation he would have final say on his lines in the flick. After reading the same cliqued dialect, he said he would do it in true Un-dead style and keep his banter to almost nothing, like a true Nasfaratu would. I believe this is 1 of the best of the Hammer horror flicks of the era, and in the ganra for that matter. The studio hired 3 pros to play the eager yet nieve bored rich businessmen who realised far to late they were in over thier heads with powers they couldn't possibly comprehend. The beautiful young actress played her part very well, and the actor playing his love intrest/ amateur sluth fit seamlessly into the story. Add the effeminate brothel owner and the actor who played the devious Courtly lead to some genuinely creepy moments. Back to Dracula who only had to count out his victims as they perished. One of the best in the Dracula series, dialogue at a minimum. J SevenRead full review

He's Back! Christopher Lee, the ultimate Dracula, in this 1970 film about the boys night out to have fun in Victorian England, and what the wives don't know won't hurt them. But what the boys don't know will hurt them....forever! The men are duped into trying something they haven't ever tried before...transforming a certain Count from dust back into blood-lusting flesh. Lee is out to avenge the death of a black magic wizard. The settings provide for a shadowy, gaslit back-drop to give the film an otherworld dread. Lee's movies are fun to watch and can still scare up a goosebumps or two. This film would appeal more to the die-hard Lee fans, such as myself!
Good Dracula movie. Part of a series with Christopher Lee playing Dracula.
