The manufacturer of this range extender makes some pretty big claims. The box states that wifi signal coverage can be extended as much as 10,000 square feet. That is probably advertising hyperbole, but there is no doubt in my mind the TP-Link RE590T can saturate an average sized home with a high bandwidth wifi signal when paired with a quality router and installed as per the manufacture's instructions. My 122 year old house is a nightmare for wifi. Super thick lath and plaster walls, coupled with crisscrossed iron pipes, interfere with the signal from even the most powerful router. The signal was barely making it from the 1st to 2nd floor, and forget about my attic home office. I installed the TP-Link RE590T on the second floor. The signal still had to pass through 2 plaster walls from the router, but the extender picked it up, amplified it, and distributed it to to many devices on the second floor. My attic office now has a relatively strong signal, enough to conduct business. Setting up the router on the units touch screen was simple, but no more so than using a web browser. This unit also has 4 LAN ports, and I was able to hook up one computer in my daughter's room with a cable. The speed difference was amazing. I recommend this wifi extender, especially if you can purchase it for less than $175.Read full review

TP Link AC1900 Range extender Pro's Range: Excellent Range, 3 Antennas can be upgraded for even better range ability Price: When i ordered it was on sale at $43.99 This is a Great Bargain Performance: On the 2.4 side you can get up to 600mbps: 5GHZ allows up to 1350: Also has 4 Gigabit connectors if you want Ethernet: I recommend always using Ethernet for the best possible speed all around. Wifi while great, I have always remained a Ethernet user for better functionality and performance. Mini Tutorial on how to set it up easily 1. Turn The extender on of course: Button is on the back 2. Click on The Wifi icon the first button on the left top of the screen 3. Click next 4. Find your 2.4 Network, If you do not want a 2.4 network just click on Skip on the top right corner 5. Find your 5G network, enter password 6. After this you can edit your SSID to be the same as the host network which is the one you are connecting to or leave it as is. I recommend changing the SSID as Multiple same SSID's can cause connection problems. 7. Click next and you should be connected, Either connect to your phone or PC, Make sure you connect to the right one you want. This extender can be used with any internet provider of course, it can also connect to routers that are not located in your home such as your friendly neighbor lol. TIP For range users who want better range than the extender can provide or for a better overall connection, Unscrew the rather low end antennas and put on a 10 DBI or better antenna and you will experience much better range and or performance, The routers 3 antennas are good but not greatRead full review

Improved our home with bookshelves and moved a filing cabinet and my wifi in my home office on the split level in our home went away. Got this extender and it's back and doing well. Only took 10 minutes out of the box. One thing is you have to know your passwords on the system or network you have already set and you can do this. The touch screen and appearance are confidence inspiring too.

This costs twice as much as the wall extenders, but it's way better than twice as good. I replaced a TP-link AC900 wall unit - the coverage in the house is so much better. Hooked up to a TP-Link AC1750 router and the extender has equal range as the router. The touch screen makes setup very easy. I actually looked for a TP-Link AC1900 router that matches this.

A very good product. Some of the instructions could do with a little more information but still pretty easy to set-up.
