I liked it .... however for 50.00 dollars at the time I purchased two copies of the game, and then the 9.99 a month fee .. it got boring quickly .... and felt like I was overpaying for a chat room service.... you don't get anywhere because of the cheaters, and the ones selling the sim money on places. you can roommate with others yet they hardly ever are online or they are always online and it takes forever to make friends, then those friends want to cyber all the time, it just got really old really fast for me as I am a 31 year old female and my old man and I played, I have all the sims games first edition and the second edition... I would rather play offline with those all day then play 5 mins on the online version.. it was just to much to bare when the cheaters over ran everything,...... and took forever for you to get anywhere in the game like your own place or your own business... time lots of time,,,Read full review
I played TSO from March 2003 to March 6 2007. I have decided to hang it up, Maxis's/EA has decided to stop updating the game and simply TAKE our money ($9.99). We as the subscribers has been told by the cordinator Parazod that they are working on it, they hear our pain, they understand our situation. Well, if you know all that CRAP & BS then do something then just saying IT. My review is simply not to put the game down, well yes and no. I had fun in my run in the game, but being lied to and having my MONEY stolen from me then yes I have the right to put the game down. But to the new players if you choose to play the game, please take this advice from a old school player (me). Don't let the game get into your head. ITS ONLY A FRAKEN GAME!, understand what you are doing when you sign up with the game, if at anytime you don't like the game, you can NOT get a refund, thats it, no turn backs, not GO STRAIGHT TO HOME zip noda. We as the old school players know all to well about it and how we are being lied to. Don't let them lie to you either, you will be in the same boat with us all. THE ACTUAL REVIEW OF THE GAME: The good side of playing TSO: You get to meet alot of different people from all over the world, you become friends with them. You have fun making money in the different money houses in the Money Catagory or get skills in the skilling houses etc. Atmosphere: GREAT Play: OK Meeting people from over the world: GOOD If you decide to play TSO and need to some help, please e-mail me: catmanjag@hotmail.com and I'll try to help in anyway I can.Read full review
Playing the Sims Online is fun, addicting, and appealing to all age groups, both male and female, worldwide! A whole new "virtual world" awaits the person who pays the $9.99 monthly subscription to The Sims Online. This virtual world is open-ended, that is, it become what the players make of it. Players can live chat with others while doing tasks or performing actions, there are a myriad of goals a player can set for him/herself, and can provide hours and hours of entertainent and socialization at the same time! The game is based upon the best selling pc game of all time, The Sims, and takes the game a step furter, linking players from all over the world together on common ground. Caution should be exercised for parents of players under 18 even though parental controls and profanity filters are included as an option, because "live chat" by up to 24 people at a time is possible, and private in game messaging as well. So-called "adult-themes" are rampant in the game. The game is cutting edge for 2002, but with it's 2D graphics, it falls short today of gaming possibilities, but continues to flourish in spite of that. There are no vehicles, weaponry or ability to kill anything or anyone in game unlike most games, the game is built as an imitator of real life whereby your sim must eat, toilet, sleep, bathe, and socialize all the time while learning and doing various tasks, and live chatting with the other players.Read full review
