I have only been a beekeeper for a year, so am still thirsty for information on the art of beekeeping. This book is full of great information for newbees and more experienced beekeepers alike. I love that the book looks at beekeeping from a chemical free method, making for healthier bees in the long term and wax that isn't so contaminated that no cosmetic companies will touch it, yet we eat the honey produced in that same wax. "If you are not a part of the solution, then you are a part of the problem."

They indicate how getting back to natural bee keeping will take care of some problems bee's are having. I'm taking my second yr hives (3) and going to go the no med system. I'll see what happens. My Hives are in the North Central Mn area. I have them on a roof of a cottage with electric wire around the roof, to keep bears out. The only thing that works in my area, so I'm back on a ladder, just like mankind started. I will consider my bee's seed stock, just like corn kernels in a vault. Would like to see more color pic's in book. But price was good deal without the pic's I guess. Thx Tapriver
Easy to understand and very informative. On the down side I would have found some pictures or diagrams helpful. Overall a good beginners bee keeping book but pair it with another book with good diagrams.
