    Works, but...

    Have had to use one size smaller on both the 4 gauge and 2/0 so far. I am using UL listed cable in both instances. Not sure why the poor fit. Once you find the right size die. It does give a nice crimp. Not bad for this price point and diy.

    Not ideal

    Perhaps it is the type of terminals that I use but have used it on numerous sizes and the same results follow...crimps are either too small and deform or too big and do not crimp sufficiently. Had to solder joints to get a secure bond. Not ideal. I might try removing some material from the die and see if I get a tighter crimp using the recommended size die. Otherwise, a good value product and sturdy construction.

    Does not crimp thick oversized copper terminals properly

    I purchased this lug crimper for one reason only, crimping thick oversized copper ring terminals. The device works ok but does not crimp the ring terminals correctly & for the cost of this device it is a let down. I found using the number die you plan to use first, then go a step down after that or the wire will pull right out of the ring terminal you just tried crimping. I have no clue what size the dies are, but it certainly it not the AWG standard or the device would crimp properly with that certain die size. For the $149.99+ tax I payed it, it should work flawlessly & not give me problems. Not to happy with this overpriced let down of a product.

    Quality tool at a fair price

    We used other crimpers of a couple types , they simply did not stack up to this quality . We primarily use this for cable making for atv-utv battery cables and heavy duty cables for hi amperage sound systems on utv,s .

    nice compact feature

    a little heavy to work with one hand but you adjust to it, because of size it is easy to hold in smaller quarters to get the job done. would recommend to anyone needing to do a lot of heavy cable work
