Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Delay, Echo & Reverb
i would give this five stars---it is flexible, quiet, handles different types of pickups, excellent presets and features. I paid about 110 dollars for it; but I have to compare to another unit I use, the Pigtronix Echolution. The PE cost about 250, has many more controls and fine tunings and a seemingly infinite range. HOWEVER, many players don't like a unit so complicated and harder to use, so the Alter Ego is a perfect substitute. To my ear the PE is studio quality, the AE is way better for live performances. I like it better than reverb, much cleaner, if set properly. Battery life is good, but must be unplugged after use to conserve power. Runs on 9v adapter. I use other TC units for fun and they couple together nicely and offer a great, clean selection of tonalities. In my studio I use Electro Harmonix, Eventide and Pigtronix however. jbRead full review

This delay sounds incredible....Very accurate patches to the selections and is very musical with the guitar....I like the added feature inside the pedal that allow the pedal to have tails on or off and also allow the pedal to sound either digital (more organic) or sound analog (sound a little darker with less uniformity).... I paired this exact pedal with TC Electronics T2 and couldn't be happier....

Excellent and very serious pedal. If you want those vintage tape delays and echos, and some "modded" clones of others, this does a lot in a small package. The Toneprint setting is extremely useful if you want more modern settings or a chorus, which I programmed in via the Smartphone app. The only con about the pedal is the phone app. You ALWAYS need an internet/data connection to take advantage of the Toneprint feature. NOT GOOD. Good tone, balanced, and usable selections.... PLUS a 40 second looper you can record TWICE on!!! What a great deal! Mightily recommended!

It is plausible that one might buy this pedal, use one setting on a song or two in the setlist, and be satisfied, but why would anyone stop there? Each of these 9 vintage delay/echoes adds such a distinct color that they almost demand to be used in their own songs. I have watched demos of the product that the CKAT setting is supposed to emulate, but the CKAT patch on this pedal is far more exciting when I use it. The Echo-Rec, Echoplex and reverse are my favorites if I have to leave out most of them. Those looking for a purely digital delay for a guitar solo or intro, will not get what they want. Musicians seeking a new paintbrush and inspiration will love this pedal.

I own 33 pedals at the moment and have been a player since 1964, this is the best delay for your money, in fact had I actually played it before buying I would have been willing to pay twice as much or more to buy it, I had been using a modded Boss DD2 as my main delay but this pedal blows the Boss out of the water, with this pedal you can choose from multiple built in delay styles based on some of the best delays ever built and it has a built in 40 sec. looper that couldn't be easier to use.....buy this pedal....you won't be sorry....one of the the most useful and fun pedals I've ever owned!
