it is a nice idea but poorly executed Nice wood construction, easy to assemble for the most part. One of the screws had a malformed head but I was able to use the extra screw meant for the wall strap. When you put the sides together after screwing the wooden 'shelves' into one side, the metal bars tend to fall out of their holes while you are trying to tighten things up. I forgot the worthless wooden stop pieces meant to keep the cd or dvd (or book) from falling over in place and had to disassemble and reassemble, but that is on me. The wooden stop pieces, whatever they are supposed to be called, have zero friction and so easily move that the slightest jolt to the shelf causes things to spill off. You MUST have something else in addition to them, perhaps a rubber band wrapped around the pole, to provide some friction so the wood doesn't slide. I used a bit of packing material torn into strips that has some friction, enough to keep things in place till I can get some big rubber bands. I suppose small rubber bands would also work. This was such a pain, after I loaded the shelves up (about halfway full on each shelf) and then just barely bumped it by accident and half the contents just fall right off. Lastly, the thing was crooked. It leaned to the right significantly, meaning the manufacturing was off. I was able to put some pressure on it to force it square, with some cracking sounds of the wood as the screws bent. The feet are crooked as the holes were not drilled in a straight line. I WILL say that after leaning on it to bend it straight and putting something like rubber bands on the bars to add friction, it is very nice. It looks good. I've got it holding mostly books but also cd's and dvd's. If the books fall over even a little they slide down behind the shelf to the ground or in my case behind the larger shelving unit this small one is standing on top of. Extremely annoying. Still, for the price, probably worth it. Buy something nicer.a`Read full review

The quality of the product is decent but I have others that are made better and stronger. At the moment, this is the only option of this type of rack that I can find on the market. It works, but is weaker than all of the older racks that I have.

Product was as advertised but after assembly, it doesn't appear to be quite a sturdy as I thought it should be. I'm using it for storing CD's and it is a bit wobbly, even with the weight of the CD's.
