What a great deal for this set. I recently picked this up myself not really having ever seen any of these movies, but I had heard of a couple. The "Guess Who's coming to dinner" anniversary edition, in this set is worth it, all by itself. It is in a 16x9 screen format, that fills the entire screen of most widescreen TV, and the transfer is so clear, it's amazing. The period of the late 60s, with a smattering of San Francisco street scenes, is fun to see, but the dialog of the movie is really what holds the viewer. Kathryn Hepburn and Spencer Tracy give excellent performances, but Sidney Poitier give one of the best performances of any movie. Heartfelt and genuine movie, from an era of tumult. The only other movie I watched so far in this set was the B/W, "The Member of the Wedding", which is really a coming of age movie, of a teenage girl feeling left behind, as her brother gets married. This really was adapted from a play, and plays on the screen as such, not by accident. Very decent, but dated and still fun to watch. I'm looking forward to discover the remainder of this box set.Read full review
