This row machine is what I needed. It’s relatively compact. It’s quiet and a good alternative to a fan style row machine. I wish the timer was a better quality (hence the 4 star rating) but it does gets the job done. It’s easy to put to together but you might need someone to help with aligning some of the bolts before tightening.

I don't get as much use out of it as I thought I would. It works muscles differently than I expected--more leg, less arm/back. I wish there was more resistance for arms and back. I love how it can show away--great for small spaces. I'm still glad I got it.

The package arrived on time with no damage or broken parts. The unit was relatively easy to assemble - I'd say about as easy as assembling an Ikea dresser. Take your time and use the correct nuts and bolts and you should have no problems. I found the instructions to be clear and concise. Be sure to adequately tighten all bolts to ensure they do not wiggle loose from the vibrations of use. The weight of the assembled unit is manageable. I was easily able to carry it up a flight of stairs. It takes up very little space; about 18" wide x 5'-0" long. It tilts up for storage and occupies about 18" x 24" of floor space with the display screen folded back. The 4-1/2" wide aluminum beam/rail provides stability for the seat and the ball bearing nylon rollers are smooth and quiet during operation. The rollers are similar to roller-blade wheels. The length of the beam is more than enough for my 5'-10" frame. The handle is nicely foam-padded and should provide years of service. The woven nylon strap operates smoothly and quietly. The resistance might be low for some muscle-bound meatheads, but I found that it provides more than enough resistance for me. I'm using it on level 3 (of 8) and will probably work my way up, but 20 minutes on level 3 gets my heart rate up sufficiently. For reference, I'm a healthy, fit, 57-year-old male. The display provides all the information a person needs: time, stroke, distance, calories, etc. It keeps a running total between sessions and can be reset when needed. Both the stroke and seat action worked well together and I find it provides a low-impact workout with smooth range of motion. A very weak "beep" occurs on every stroke as noted by other reviewers, but I did not find it annoying at all. I actually found it helps keep my rhythm. The volume is so low I barely notice it. Overall, I found this to be a very competent, well-designed and -constructed unit. Only 2 things I would change are: 1. The slope of the beam/rail is only about 5 degrees. 15 degrees is optimal. The solution is to place a wood or foam block under the rear foot. 2. The display can only be viewed when it's folded away from the viewer, facing toward the ceiling. Side-to-side viewing is ok, but the up-and-down viewing angle is limited. For $180.58, this is best-buy. I've used it for a week now and found no reason to return it. It works beautifully and I always look forward to using it. Highly recommended.Read full review

Nice rowing machine. Easy to assemble. Good value for that money. Could use a few more levels of resistance. Glad I bought.

Very compact, build solid. No frills machine. Just what I wanted. It did have a bent bracket and small dent in the guide rail but doesn’t effect use.
