Spyderco's only phantom lock type knife now has a superior blade ... Hap 40, an inner core of hard steel sandwiched between a softer stainless steel. Made in Japan, this composite steel is phenomenally durable with a long lasting edge. It performs like a Samurai sword to cut effortlessly. Its' long blade cousin however has the hardened steel wrapped around one edge of the softer steel. There are two reasons to not have a 5☆ rating. 1) The blade's 'non cutting' edges and deployment hole are sharp to the touch. I used a diamond file and a buffing wheel to round those sharp edges. 2) The end of the glass reinforced handle had sharp edges too. Fine grit sandpaper was used to tame it to be more comfortable in the hand. Once these two problems are solved, 5☆ easily. So much so that this is my go to every day carry knife. The 2 inch blade is non-threatening at work. The handle fits the hand perfectly. The pinned construction means nothing to adjust. In the photo, there is an attached lanyard loop made from a stainless bicycle spoke to minimize losing it. As to its' utility: separating ribbon cable, cutting an apple, push cutting nylon cord ... name it - it cuts it Easily. Who knew this weird little knife would be so useful.Read full review

This is a great little knife to carry around for opening small boxes, and letters. I bring it to work everyday for that reason. It's not to big, and the orange handle scales help it to not be scary looking when you use it.
