Well first off let's tell the bad side. Alarm will ring/play - ONLY 1 - time (Yes that's right, you can hit snooze and it will play again in 10 minutes) *But if you don't touch the alarm it will "Silence the Alarm" and that alarm will not play again -- *Like other Sony Ericsson models... Alarm can't be a MP3 song. Battery is meant only for 1 day usage so if you forget to charge one day you will have a dead phone some time into the 2nd day. The CALENDAR is online, so if you want to just check what day of the month will "ie. 20 august 2011" hit you have to log-on to google. The Earphones / Headset's: It's really a - DOWNGRADE - compare to the old earphones you would get from the Walkman versions (W800, W810, W890) When the phone is look you can't higher the volume by the side key's and can't change music by holding-pressing down on these key's. I placed a mp4 vídeo from Youtube on the phone (Download to pc using "Real" than convert/upload to memory) and the phone will not play the video. No multi touch screen but I guess that would be available if I was on Android 2.1... --- Good side? Camera is good - 8.1 No Full HD in video recording since I can't upgrade Android to 2.1 (Don't know why) Fast phone no lagRead full review
This is a nice phone. It has a HUGE 4 inch screen, and is easy to use. Best feature is the Android O.S. This phone doesn't have the most up to date version of the software, but it should be released soon, or at least that's what they've been saying. Nevertheless I purchased it because I couldn't afford a Captivate outright, LOL. Great phone, AWESOME O.S. For those of you thinking of getting a BB, or iPhone; think about this... The Android O.S.'s App Market has WAY MORE FREE APPS out there. I already have several apps on my phone, and didn't pay a dime for a single one. How cool is that?
I really love this phone and for the money, you cant beat it. But it has been a real pain trying to figure how to use it. However, this is my first android/smartphone, so that may also be why. But I am pretty phone savy and Ive spent many hours on this thing figuring out different functions the phone provides. The battery is pretty good, but I do have to charge it once a day - in it's defense though, I use my phone A LOT. On the plus side... Its gorgeous, large screen (4in) and appealing with all it's features (once you figure them out) I would reccomend this to a friend! =]
Really stunning device: 1 GHz Processor, 8.1 MP Camera with 720p video capture, 4.0 inch capacitive screen with great contrast, and Android 2.1. Unfortunately, Sony isn't going to update the device further, but there are some stable custom froyo ROMs that people are having success with. For me, I don't really care if Sony continues to support the phone. I wanted something with great media capabilities, a fast processor, wifi, and a good camera. People complain about battery life for this phone, but if 3G is turned off, Apps are managed with a task killer, live wallpapers are disabled(I know, nexus is awesome), the display is dimmed, and wifi is used sparingly, its not impossible to get 3-4 days of use, especially if the battery is properly cycled out of the box.
I love it, it's easy to make a contact, send email, doing transfer pics and the camera is great for a cellphone. Pick this phone rather than Iphone, so I could keep my unlimited $20 data plan, instead upgrade with $40 unlimited dataplan for Iphone.
