You might not think that a re-make would be as good the second time, but I was totally surprised and wrong about this film. Michael Caine and Jude Law rock together on the screen and duel their wits for the most exciting film I've seen to only two people in years. Of course, this film was adapted from the play and the original film, however you would never have guess it. Jude Law was one of the main producers of this film and held his own with Caine. I'll give this film a 5/5 for its quick wit and unabashed honesty. IF YOU LIKE THIS REVIEW DON'T HESITATE TO LET ME KNOW BY VOTING. THANKS!
Holds your attention from beginning to end. Setting is out of the United States at house that belongs to a famous writer (Michael Caine) who's wife loves to run out on. Wife has expensive tastes, spends his money like water, and thru her relationships with other men gives the writer his ideas for his famous books. (You do not find this out till after you have watched the movie acouple of times) Her current lover (Jude Law) is a very good actor but not on the verge of stardom yet. He goes to house (made appointment with writer) to get writer to agree to divorce wife. The rest you can see for yourself. Excellent movie.
Michael Caine and Jude Law are the stars in this awesome movie, the first time I saw it I started from half the movie and still I loved it. Then one more time from the begining to make sure the movie was completly good. Indeed it was. Its just nonestop DRAMA and not knowing whats gonna happen next yay! "The thrill of the hunt" If you get a chance to catch this movie dont let it go its really a masterpiece.
