In summary, this can be a very useful kitchen addition. Be ready, however to experiment with cooking times, water-vs-rice proportions, and salt, etc. Different rice requires different cooking procedures and the instructions included with this product barely mentions cooking even rice. You're on your own and you will need to sacrifice some rice to get the process down so you can predict the results. Putting a plate under the cooker will save you from a messy microwave carousel as some rice (lots of starch) will boil over. Like all Systema products, this cooker looks very good and is very nicely made. Parts fit perfectly and have good fit and finish. You'd think a product like this from a company with such vast resources like Systema would have at least been tested casually in the lunchroom before it was put out to market. Not a bad product at all mind you, just untested - and sold without adequate instructions. Now once you do all that this can be a real convenience in the kitchen. EddieRead full review

I bought these rice cookers for myself and my daughter in law. Was embarrassed that what I told to expect is different from what was received.
