I was looking for a systematic method to introduce my nine-year-old daughter to the art of embroidery. This book is just what I was looking for. The book starts out introducing the most basic stitch and progresses to more difficult stitches. For each new stitch introduced there is an iron on pattern in the back of the book. These simple little projects are easy to do and provide practice in learning the new stitch. My daughter has been very successful using the patterns. The patterns can be ironed on more than once. Her big sister has joined in on the fun and they are both learning to embroider. I would highly recommend this book if you want to learn the art of embroidery.
Simple visual instructions for 8 of the easiest stitches. Just what I wanted. I like that it's spiral-bound, so that it can lie flat, so that it's easy to follow along, while you're learning the stitch.
