The package included two different types of teflon tape which is a mistake. The wider and thicker teflon tape was far superior to the thinner and narrower tape. I wrapped the male copper fittings 12-15 times and then smeared fresh pipe dope on top of the teflon tape and inside the female copper receptacles. No leaks. The vendor was responsive to my questions and helpful.
